A Club for Nature Lovers and Garden Wanderers

The Wildflower Club is a sociable, cake-fuelled wander through some of East Anglia’s most beautiful, and often lesser-known gardens and loveliest wild places.

Who We Are

Created for those who love plants, pollinators, and the pleasure of good company, we meet once a month on Sunday mornings to explore gardens, nature reserves, woodlands, and tucked-away spots across Norfolk and Suffolk.

From bee-filled borders to peaceful meadows and ancient trees, each outing offers the chance to slow down, learn something new, and enjoy time with like-minded folk—usually with tea and homemade cake involved.

Expect behind-the-scenes access to places not normally open to the public, guided walks, garden tours, and talks from nature and wildlife experts.

Whether you're a seasoned gardener, a nature enthusiast, or just looking for a friendly way to spend a Sunday, you’re very welcome. In the winter, we’ll keep the inspiration going with cosy talks and seasonal ideas to bring more nature into everyday life.

To join, scroll down and select a membership option - monthly and pay as you go options are available. This is a new club, shaped by its members—so come along, bring a friend, and help it grow.

Visit Info

  • Excursions take place all over Suffolk and Norfolk. We attempt to book places spread out across both counties to provide interest; this does mean some places will be further away but others will be close to home.

  • Detailed information for each visit will be provided by email prior to the day. It is your responsibility to get to the location but if you need assistance let us know.

  • If you’d like to carpool please let us know, or mention it in the members area (if you join as a member you’ll get access to a private Facebook group) and we can see if people want to meet up and drive together from convenient locations.

  • This is a friendly group, a lovely bunch of people. Men and women are welcome and all ages although it is most appropriate for adults as children are not specifically catered for with regards entertainment.

  • Meeting times usually are 10.30am but do check beforehand as sometimes venues require us to be there at different times. Visits usually last around two hours and will be made up of a mix of time together and time to wander alone or in smaller groups.

  • Bookings for venues usually close a week before the visit to enable confirmations and ordering of cake! But this is dependant on the place we are visiting so please keep an eye on individual listings and emails for details.

  • We’re an all weather club; if it’s raining or very hot we’ll still go ahead but it’s up to you to wear appropriate dress and bring a bottle of water, wear sunscreen, bring a brolly etc! In the Winter we do have an indoor talk programme for some of the months when nature is slumbering.
